Chicago

Chicago is a city located in the northeastern part of the United States. The port, situated beside the Chicago River and Lake Michigan, has the code USCHI. It is comprised of a few principal port facilities. The port is managed by the Illinois International Port District. Previously, the port was called the Chicago Regional Port. The Calumet Harbor is the main part of this place which is managed by the American army. The port has the Iroquois Landing Lakefront Terminal, and is located at the mouth of the Calumet River. It has an area of 0.4 km2. The port has warehouses and various facilities. Another terminal is Lake Calumet. It consists of three transit sheds with a total surface area of 29,000 m2. The port constitutes an important communications hub and is part of the Great Lakes port complex. The city has 2,707,120 residents. It has a giant trade and finance center. Playboy, Boeing, General Electric and Prudential all have their headquarters here. Naturally, the Polish people know this city most of all because those who decide to emigrate to the US stay here.
