Seaport of Guayaquil

Guayaquil is a seaport with the code ECGUQ, located in Equator. It is the largest seaport in the country, and is also the largest place of its kind on the coast of the Pacific Ocean. The city is situated on the western shore of the Guayas River that flows into the Pacific Ocean. Trade, business, agriculture and fish farming are flourishing here. It’s worth noting that Guayaquil is the biggest city in the country. It experiences a tropical savannah climate, which is why it’s quite hot here from January to April, but at the same time also humid. During this period, there are intense rainfalls resulting in frequent floods in this region. Throughout the rest of the year, rainfall is minimal. The weather becomes cloudy, the evenings grow colder. Most of the residents are Roman Catholics. The city has two big football clubs: Barcelona Guayaquil and Emelec Guayaquil, both have their own stadiums. There are also a few universities in the city.
