Seaport of Norfolk

Norfolk is a seaport with the code USORF. The port is located in the United States in the state of Virginia. The port is managed by the Virginia Port Authority which owns four ports with marine terminal sand one intermodal container transfer facility. They are: Norfolk International Terminals (NIT), Portsmouth Marine Terminal (PMT), Newport News Marine Terminal (NNMT), Virginia International Gateway (VIG) in Portsmouth. The largest terminal is the one in Norfolk. with a surface area of 2.62 km2. It has 5 mooring spots for container transporters. It is capable of storing 34,129 TEU container-wise. From the port, you can directly reach Interstate 64. The city has had the port since 1965. The port continues to thrive. Additional equipment is being bought to expand the port’s capabilities. Recently, the port has added the tallest possible cranes, and also its transshipment capability was increased.
