Seaport of Suzhou

Suzhou is a seaport with the code CNSUZ. It is located in China in the Chinese province of Jiangsu. First and foremost, it is a very important communications hub, indispensable when it comes to transporting goods inland. It consists of three facilities: Zhangjiagang, Changshu and Taicang. The entire infrastructure is located on the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. The total cargo throughput for all three facilities was 454 million tons in 2013. What’s interesting is that since 2013 the port has been considered to the busiest inland river port in the world. Every year, the port facilitates the transportation of a large number of cargo – of considerable tonnage and volume. The port is mostly used to transport coal, steel, and construction materials such as cement.
