Seaport of Kaohsiung
Kaohsiung is a seaport with the code KWKHH. It is located south of Taiwan and is the largest port in the country, able to handle 10 million TEU (data from 2007). The facility is managed by the Taiwan International Ports Corporation. It is the only company in Taiwan that handles the management of state ports. At first it was a natural port, but over time it has been adapted to increasingly higher technical requirements. The facility’s growth really took off after World War II.
