Shekou is a seaport with the code CNSHK, located in China. It encompasses the entire port area situated on the southern edge of the Nanton Peninsula in Nanshan. It was created by China Merchants Hongkong, and it has existed since 1979. At first, the port served as a base for foreign companies searching for oil in the South China Sea. As such, the port was primarily used by employees who worked on oil platforms. You can take a ferry from this port and reach Hong Kong, Macau and Zhuhai, among others. The customs and immigration process is completed upon disembarking the ferry.
